Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone

In this review I am going to talk about my favourite film, which is called Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone.

It is based on the well-known book and tells the story of a boy called Harry Potter and his adventures in Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The film starts with Harry Potter as a young boy who lives with his mean and cruel uncle, aunt and cousin since he is an orphan. He doesn’t know that he is a wizard until he receives a letter from Hogwarts.  Thanks to this, he discovers who he really is and the world he belongs to.  He goes to Hogwarts to start the new course and it is there where he starts to discover his past.

This is a film about magic and friendship. Harry has two very good friends called Ron and Hermione. The three together live many adventures trying to defeat the evilest wizard ever called Lord Voldemort.

I would recommend this film to anyone who likes fantasy films. It is exciting and funny because it is related to magic people and creatures. 

WORLD RECORD

Heaviest aircraft pulled

Kevin Fast, a man from Canada, pulled an aircraft, weighing 188.83 tonnes, a distance of 8.8 m  at Canadian Forces Base in Trenton, on 17 September 2009.

He used a rope, which he tied around his body. Most of his family and friends were with him in that moment, trying to encourage him. 

When he finished, he felt so happy and proud.

Muffin recipe

MUFFIN RECIPE

INGREDIENTS

• 2 cups  flour
• 2 cups sugar
• 1 tablespoon baking powder
• ¼ teaspoon salt
• ½ cup  butter
• 1 egg
• 1 cup milk
• 1 cup chocolate chips

STEPS

Heat oven to 200º. 

In a bowl, whisk butter and eggs. Add the milk and whisk.

Then, add the flour and whisk. Use the spatula. Add the sugar.

Later, add the chocolate chips.

Put the mixture into the moulds and put them in the oven for 20 minutes.

Describing myself

This is me. I have got dark hair and dark eyes. I am not very tall and I am quite thin. I love my clothes. I am wearing a beautiful brown silk T-shirt and a pair of comfortable black trousers. I also love my job. I work as a teacher in a Secondary School in Madrid. I have lots of students and we all enjoy learning English.
